Sneak Peek

Here are a couple of pictures we had taken today.
One of the advantages of working at Busath Photography is being surrounded with awesome photography talent. A good friend and photographer at the studo, Miyo, took these for us today and I am loving them.
Thanks Miyo!!!

Dear J.Crew warehouse/sample sale,

Thank you for these pretty little shoes for only $10!

p.s. the blazer and sweater are nice too!

Twice tagged

Well, since I have been tagged twice, I figured I had better just go ahead and do this :)
Six quirky things about me:
1. When I like a song, I listen to it over and over and over, probably much to the dismay of everyone around me!
2. I love office supplies. Pencils, pens, Sharpies, paper, calendars, desk organizers, pencil holders. Weird, I know, but go to and you may soon share my obsession.
3. I own (and continue to buy) way too much eye shadow. Then, every morning, when I am putting my make up on I guessed it, the same one every day!!
4. I count my steps in sets of eight. Not ALL the time, but I will catch myself doing it sometimes.
5. I am a night owl. I could stay up until 2:00 in the morning and not get anything accomplished (mostly when Loren is out of town).
6. When I get in bed and fall asleep I wake up in the exact position I went to sleep in. I can literally fold the blanket back, get out of bed and put the blanket back down and the bed looks totally undisturbed.

I tag: Kristi, Hillary, and Libby

Brandi Carlile

Not much to post about lately. I have been enjoying Brandi Carlile lately. I recommend "Have You Ever" "What Can I Say" "Throw it all Away". My favorites that aren't on this media player are "Happy" "Closer" "Fall Apart Again" and the full version of "Have You Ever"

We had a blast in California which included, but is not limited to the following: shopping, eating, rock band, sitting on the beach, boogie boarding, going to the Getty Museum, and great friends!!

                                                                   The Boys

                                                                   The Girls

                                                               The Getty Museum

Zack, Kim, Me, Jake, Kristin at the Getty

Me and Loren at the Getty

                                                              Jake and Loren

                                                                   The Getty

                                                                the beach house

Me and Loren on the beach cruisers

our one attempt at a group photo turned out to be a video so I had to take this picture from that, which explains why is isn't very clear

So, everyone else probably already knows about Pandora, but I just found out about it the other day. Pandora is a streaming internet radio channel basically. You go to and create a free account. You type in an artist or a song that you like and Pandora finds songs that have similar vocals, tonality, rhythm, style etc. and plays them on their own "station". You can give the song a thumbs up or a thumbs down to help guide them towards which sound you like. Also, you can bookmark a song or artist or buy it right then on iTunes. This has been so great for me because I am at a computer most of the day and get really tired of my same music over and over and have a hard time discovering new music. I have found some good new tunes.
Give it a try and rock on!

I was in Idaho over the weekend to see my nephew get baptized. Loren couldn't come with me because he had a guys weekend/golf tournament/fishing to tend to. Since Loren wasn't with me I was able to get together with some friends that I have known forever but hardly get to see (we're talking years here).
On Friday night I got together with my friends Rachael and Sherstine that I have known since I was 5 (we were in the same ward) and Hillary who I met when I was 10 (when we moved into her ward). We had dinner, talked and made hair clips (they have daughters, I made some for my niece). It was so fun to catch up and hear what everyone has going on in their lives right now.
The next morning I went to the Boise Farmer's Market and to lunch with my high school friend Celeste. Then I went to the baptism and to dinner with my family. Later that night my friend Debbie (who I've also known since I was 10) happened to be in town from Washington came over with her boyfriend and we reminisced for a couple of hours. All in all it was a great weekend for renewing friendships and catching up!

We went up to Wyoming for a couple of days at the beginning of the week. We camped for three days, two in Star Valley and one in Teton National Park at Colter Bay. We had fun spending some time in Jackson Hole, hiking in the Tetons, meeting up with friends and fly fishing (I caught my first fish).

What we did see:
lots of deer
the Tetons
awesome views from our hike
a mountain lion (from the safety of our car, yikes!)
lots of mosquitos
Paul and Suzanna
Sean Penn (we think)
lots of RV's
a huge group of French Harley riders (weird)
lots of each other

What we didn't see:
bears (thank goodness)
a bed
hot weather (so nice)

just one of the deer that didn't seem to mind us

                                                   the Middle Teton

Loren on some of the snow we had to cross

Bell Canyon

We are so lucky to have this just a 10 minute drive and a 20 minute hike from our house.

Sometimes I forget how beautiful our mountains are. Whenever we go up there I think, "Why are we not up here everyday?"
It felt so nice to get out of the house and unwind after work, I highly recommend it :)
